2010 World Champions - Scholastic Open Class

The West Johnston Winterguard is an extra-curricular activity
composed of colorguard members from marching band and interested students selected through auditions. There are two guard units at West, the Varsity (Open Guard) and Junior Varsity (A Guard) Winterguard.  The Winterguard performs at various venues and participates in national competitions and selected community activities.

The West Johnston High School Winterguard has a solid reputation as evidenced by its top place finishes at various national and state competitions. Winterguard season is held January through April. They compete in Atlantic Indoor Association (AIA) &  Winterguard International (WGI)
sanctioned events.

The Winterguard at West Johnston is under the direction of Garrett Griffin and Mr. David S. Duffy.
