What is the WJHS BPA

WJHS BPA stands for the West Johnston High School Band Parent's Association. As a parent or legal guardian of a student involved with the band program you are eligible to be a member of this non-profit organization. (No auditions needed to join this group!)

As a member of the WJHS BPA, you have the opportunity to share your time, skills and talent with an incredible group of people who support the band program. Please do not think that because there are many students in the band (i.e., lots of parents) that you are not needed. Without the assistance of all band parents, the band program cannot reach its potential level of success that we all know it can achieve.The WJHS BPA assists, sponsors and supports, financially and otherwise, the band program. The WJHS BPA also does whatever it takes to provide opportunities to help these students achieve greatness.

No matter what it takes, we do it!

The WJHS Band Parents' Association By-laws are posted on the bulletin board in the band room and available for review in a notebook in the Band Parent's room. An electronic copy is also maintained at the BPA's egroups site.

Meeting minutes are maintained by the Secretary and kept in a notebook available in the Band Parent's room, sent via email and posted at the BPA's egroups site.

Executive Board meeting minutes are also available in the Director's office and on egroups.

Please let a BPA officer know if you can not locate them and wish to review them.
